The Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Collection is a celebration of the brand’s heritage; it was created in celebration of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s coronation in 1953. As such, the brand has always been entwined with the Royal family.

Each whisky is presented in a stunning decanter, each with its own distinctive hue (red, blue, and green), as well as a lacquered presentation box. The Royal Salute logo, featuring the very guns used in the salute, adorns the front of the box in gold foiling.

Both the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Original Reserve ($3,000) and The American Reserve ($3,300) will now been rolled out across selected retailers, such as The Whisky Exchange. The Peated Reserve is currently available exclusively in duty-free airports. It will soon be rolled out globally, also retailing for $3,300.

The Royal Salute Chamber
Coinciding with the release of the Royal Salute 62 Gun Salute Collection comes the announcement that Royal Salute has found a new home at the Tower of London. The Royal Salute Chamber, in the 13th-century Martin Tower, will house the brand’s luxury portfolio and allow guests access to some of the rarest and most coveted Royal Salute expressions.
These expressions include the ‘Treasures Collection’ which, according to the press release is a “one-of-a-kind whisky library featuring some of the most precious Royal Salute blends released since its creation in 1953, discovered through an immersive tasting experience.” In addition, never-before-seen private cask offerings will be on offer to sample, making each experience bespoke to the guests.

The new space was carefully crafted in collaboration with Historic Royal Palaces, an independent charity that cares for the Tower of London – one of the most iconic buildings in the capital. The oldest part of the castle, The White Tower, has stood since 1078.
The crowning jewel (if you will) of the collection is the three 62 Gun Salute expressions, which will be housed in a duo of cabinets that were once home to the Cullinan and the Koh-i-Noor diamonds. These diamonds, amongst the largest in the world, are icons of the British Crown Jewels.
Guests can attend the Royal Salute Chamber by invitation only. The experience includes:
- Private tour of the Crown Jewels
- A sensory exploration of bespoke fragrances crafted by Master Perfumer, Barnabé Fillion, inspired by the 62 Gun Salute Collection
- A comparative tasting of the 62 Gun Salute Collection
- Access to the Royal Salute ‘Treasures Collection’
